The 7th World Tribology Congress was due to take place in September 2021 in Lyon, France. The congress has been postponed until July 10-15 2022 due to the coronavirus outbreak, and its consequences such as the near-impossibility of international travel.
In a context which we hope will be more positive, the organizing committee will give maximum effort to make WTC 2022 a landmark Tribology Congress.
The 7th World Tribology Congress aims to highlight recent important progress in all aspects of Tribology, strengthen the links between academy and industry, provide a unique opportunity for discussion concerning the latest developments in Tribology and to promote international collaborations and exchanges.
The Congress will consist of 4 plenary + 4 keynote speakers, 41 invited talks, 700+ oral presentations and 300+ posters on topics at the cutting edge of the various Tribology disciplines, a wide exhibition and various events, scientific and nonscientific, some of them dedicated to young tribologists.
Partner Event
The 48th Leeds-Lyon Symposium on Tribology will be a Partner Event of WTC 2022. Authors of the 48th Leeds-Lyon Symposium have submited an abstract within the scientific theme n°11.
Satellite Meeting
The 9th Tribochemistry Satellite Meeting will be held prior to WTC 2022. This meeting is organized in the historic city of Beaune, in the Burgundy region of France, within easy reach of Paris and Lyon. Registration and abstract submission are open.
