Dr. Manas Ranjan Pattnayak is currently pursuing his Postdoctoral research with Prof. Tae Ho Kim at Kookmin University, South Korea. He has completed his Ph.D. from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, India, in August 2023 under India’s most prestigious Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF) program. Prior to his doctoral research, he has completed his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, India in June 2018. During his research career, he has also worked with Prof. Michel Fillon and Prof. Mihai Arghir from the Institut Pprime, Université de Poitiers, France. His primary research interests are Sustainable air lubrication, Lubrication science, Vibrations, Rotordynamics, Machine design, Numerical modeling, and Mechanical test rig development.

I am currently doing my PhD at the University of Leeds, where I am actively involved in Bio tribology research. Prior to this, I have completed my master's degree through the renowned Erasmus Mundus joint program, specializing in Tribology and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from VTU in Belgaum, India. Further I am Social Media Manager and Editor at TriboNet and I have YouTube channel Tribo Geek.
